About Ehlathini Game Lodge
Ehlathini Game Lodge is a family-owned Lodge facility purchased by Chad and Carolyne Markus in 2022, who are American citizens residing in Minnesota. After many years of coming to South Africa and hunting, they fell in love with the area and the people and decided to make the bushveld part of their lives. When the property came up for sale, they jumped at the opportunity to turn this dream into a reality to offer exceptionally catered private hunting adventures to American clients with a sense of trust and security being US citizens as well.
Ehlathini Game Lodge is a stone structure with thatch roofs built in 1987 by a former commercial pilot who had the vision of building a getaway for his family. The lodge itself sits on a mountain, in a secure 5-acre area that is fenced to keep wild game out.
The remainder of the property consists of approximately 1,500 acres of beautiful bushveld that has been placed into a well-thought-out conservation program. There is no firearm hunting on this property, only photo safaris, game viewing, and limited archery hunting that allows for exceptional close encounters with wild game.
